Multiculturalism With(out) Guarantees: The Anti-Racism Alternative

The Centre for Culture, Identity and Education and the David Lam Chair in Multicultural Education Present "Multiculturalism With(out) Guarantees: The Anti-Racism Alternative". A day-long symposium.

Keynote speaker: Professor George Dei, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education.
Respondent: Professor Leslie Roman, Educational Studies, UBC.
Panels: Several panel discussions to follow on the subject of integrative anti-racism in theory, activism, teacher education and classroom practice. Panelists include Assistant Professor Hartej Gill, Department of Educational Studies, who will highlight the work of the Diversity Cohort and classroom teachers who were former students of the program.
