UBC Vancouver

The Faculty of Education (Vancouver campus) offers BC’s largest and most comprehensive teacher education program — the only one with specialized preparation in all secondary school subject areas, thematic cohort-based elementary and middle years options, and Canada’s only International Baccalaureate Educator stream — in a 12-month program. UBC Vancouver also offers a rural teacher education program in the West Kootenay and its renowned Indigenous education program (NITEP) in three field centres. Completing our program leads to a Bachelor of Education degree and eligibility for teacher certification by the Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch.
