The Royal Society of Canada (RSC) welcomes the opportunity to speak with UBC faculty members and staff to discuss best practices in preparing nominations to the RSC.
This event will be hosted by Darren Gilmour (Executive Director of the RSC), and will feature a panel of UBC Fellows and Inductees of the RSC answering your questions. This is an interactive presentation, and we encourage faculty members and staff to ask questions as the session unfolds. To make the most of our opportunity to meet with the RSC and learn from the panel members, please come prepared with questions and comments about what makes for a competitive nomination to the RSC Fellows and College programs.
Who should attend? Nominators/nominees, grant/award facilitators, department award chairs, or anyone involved in nominating a UBC faculty member to the RSC.
Space is limited, please RSVP here by September 14, 2017.
Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
We will have remote attendance available for UBC Okanagan. Further details will be provided.
Note: The entrance to Ponderosa Commons Oak House is just west of the Harvest grocery shop on University Boulevard. The ballroom is at the bottom of the stairs on the left. An accessible entrance is on Lower Mall. The nearest parking is the West Parkade on Lower Mall.
