In 2016, the Sky, Water, Earth proposal won in the Digital Media and Learning competition. Since then, the project has received funding and undergone development, and ETS is proud to announce the soft launch of Sky, Water, Earth in September 2017. The project deliverables, in the form of online learning playlists, will be open to the public from September 2017 to September 2018.
What Sky, Water, Earth?
Sky, Water, Earth is a collection of free, online, and self-paced resources that prepare you for a career in the sciences. Sky, Water, Earth is about following your passion, building competencies valued by employers, and preparing yourself for a career in the sciences.
A learning playlist is a sequence of activities for you to complete. Preview some of the playlists before the launch on September 2017 such as this Scientific Communication playlist and 360-degree conservation photography playlist. As you complete the learning playlists of your choice, you will earn the associated badges as well as points you can use towards redeeming a real-world opportunity.
Real world opportunities can range from admission and entry to networking events, job shadowing experiences, to references and interview opportunities. These opportunities are limited and some have time constraints so be sure to earn enough points before someone else claims the opportunity.
Sign up to be notified when the project launches.
You also have the option to enroll your email address to the playlists once it launches.
