Technology in Transit is a monthly event organized by Educational Technology Support (ETS) for students in the Faculty of Education to showcase their learning technologies. The purpose of this one-hour session is to raise awareness of different technologies and to show how to incorporate them into classrooms.
For the month of March, Nancy and Scarlet will introduce VideoScribe, a software available for macOS X, Windows, and iOS users to quickly produce high quality whiteboard-style animation videos. It is free for UBC students and staff via Connect, where UBC licensing allows a one year download, renewable for current students, staff and faculty.
Some of the features include:
- Easy to use without need of any technical expertise.
- Royalty free images and audio music, pick from 1000s of images in the library or upload your own.
- Tons of customization options.
- Share easily through Facebook, YouTube and Powerpoint or download as an HD video.
Come by the Scarfe foyer and try creating a whiteboard animation of your own! Learn more from the resources in our Scarfe Digital Sandbox.
