The 2012 Alumni Achievement Awards were held on Tuesday, November 15th 2012 at the Four Seasons Hotel. The event celebrates the very best of the UBC community – in particular, alumni and special friends of the university. UBC’s aspiration to be globally influential and foster positive change is realized in part by its alumni through their engagement around the world. The Alumni Achievement Awards recognizes the recipients at a formal celebration amongst their family, friends, peers, nominators, special guests and UBC community.

The event was hosted by Jeff Todd, Executive Director of the UBC Alumni Association & Associate Vice-President, Alumni and Education alumna, Judy Rogers, Chair of the UBC Alumni Association (Rec Ed 71). Dean Frank hosted a table of guests including Dr. Dan Birch (the former Dean of Education and Provost) and his wife Arlene, Fred Hume, Sara Hodson, Tim Laidler and BEd student rep, Phaidra Ruck.
