UBC SPARC wishes to remind UBC applicants of the following CIHR Project Grant competition updates and SPARC support services:
SPARC Support Services
SPARC Review: Editorial review of the 10-page research proposal is currently available to all UBC applicants* until Friday, September 6. Feedback on the readability & reviewability of the draft proposal is returned to applicants in 2-3 days after submission and is available at no cost to UBC applicants on a ‘first-come, first-served basis’ until time and/ or capacity runs out. SPARC Reviews are coordinated in parallel with Dr. Tamara Bodnar who reviews sex and/or gender considerations relevant to the study design.
Response to Previous Reviews: Applicants seeking to submit a revised application are encouraged to contact Elizabeth Cheu and/or Sharon Marsh to review their peer reviewer feedback and receive a draft document based on SPARC’s best practice guidelines for the 2-page Response to Previous Reviews attachment.
NEW: Online Resources: SPARC has updated its online resources to include a newly developed RCT Guidebook and has expanded the sample grant library to include 35 proposals spanning all career stages, CIHR Themes and ~1/3 of the standing Peer Review Committees.
