Mental health literacy is an integral part of health literacy and is foundational for mental health promotion, prevention and care. It needs to be addressed in a manner that builds on our best available knowledge pertaining to mental health and targeted to meet developmental mental health challenges. Dr. Kutcher will describe the development, application and evaluation of a successful mental health literacy approach for students in middle and secondary schools.
