Short Bio
Harper B. Keenan recently graduated with a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Teacher Education from the Stanford Graduate School of Education. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow in Leadership in Teacher Education with the Stanford Teacher Education Program. Broadly, his research examines the role of schooling, curriculum, and pedagogy in shaping how power is organized and resources are distributed in society, with a particular focus on history and social studies education. His work has been accepted at journals like the Harvard Educational Review, Teachers College Record, Theory & Research in Social Education, and Gender and Education, as well as in a variety popular press outlets. Harper is also the founder of the Trans Educators Network, a grassroots organization that serves as a community of mutual aid for PK-12 trans and gender non-conforming educators across North America.
