Join The Office of Research in Education (ORE) for a welcoming session designed for early-career and new faculty interested in learning about internal UBC research grant opportunities, varied supports available to help launch your research program, and the Canadian research funding landscape. This orientation will include previews of future events, an opportunity to provide input on future professional development topics, and time to mingle with colleagues over refreshments. Whether you are new (or not so new) to the Faculty of Education, we welcome you to join our meet-and-greet and orientation to build your research community and make connections.
Audience
This session is intended early-career faculty interested in research, postdoctoral fellows and any other Faculty of Education members interested in learning about research supports.
Format
The session will consist of a presentation by the ORE Team, the opportunity to network with new colleagues, and resource sharing around research.

The Office of Research in Education (ORE) is a service unit with a mandate to oversee and support research activity in the Faculty of Education. ORE’s services include providing research grant writing and proposal development support and orienting new faculty to UBC’s research infrastructure and internal and external research funding opportunities.
