ORE Winter Gathering: Tea & Postdoctoral Sharing-Session

By Sid

Event Overview

Interested in learning more about Postdoctoral Fellows in the Faculty of Education? We invite all faculty, as well as Postdoctoral Fellows and their supervisors, to join The Office of Research in Education (ORE) for our Winter Gathering: Holiday Tea & Postdoctoral Sharing Session. In this hybrid Session, we will connect over tea and sandwiches to network and share opportunities related to research funding. Whether you are a faculty supervisor, or just curious about Postdoctoral Fellows, we hope you will join us for an afternoon of engaging conversations!

Light refreshments and tea will be provided in-person.

Note: This is a hybrid event.

What to Expect

During this one-hour gathering, participants will be invited to share brief insights on topics such as:

  • Experiences navigating postdoctoral opportunities and resources at UBC

  • Research activities and initiatives currently underway within the Faculty of Education

  • Ways supervisors and postdocs build collaborations across departments and research clusters

The session is designed to be informal, interactive, and community-oriented – an opportunity to meet colleagues, build relationships, and exchange ideas that strengthen postdoctoral engagement in our faculty.

Who Should Attend

  • Current Postdoctoral Fellows

  • Faculty who supervise or co-supervise Postdoctoral Fellows

  • Faculty interested in learning how to recruit or support Postdoctoral Fellows

  • Staff supporting research, grants, or postdoctoral programs
