Deadline: September 17th, 2018
The purpose of this Award is to recognize outstanding scholarship and promote the professional development of Emerging Scholars. Award winners are invited to attend the conference with a complimentary registration and act as facilitators, moderators, and contributors at the conference. Recipients of the Award are recognized on our website, on our social media pages, in the conference program, and formally at the conference Welcome and Closing sessions.
Emerging Scholars perform an important function as chairpersons in the parallel sessions. Duties include introducing the sessions, making sure sessions begin and end on time, and facilitating question and answer sessions. A basic knowledge of computer technology, data projectors, and PowerPoint application is required. Emerging Scholars are expected to attend the conference in its entirety. In addition to promoting important discussions among fellow conference participants and potential collaborators, Emerging Scholar Awardees also have the opportunity to present their own academic work during the parallel sessions (once accepted by the Program Development Team).
Common Ground Research Networks takes great pride in the role Emerging Scholars play in the overall success of the conference. We hope you will find this a meaningful and rewarding professional experience.
