David Lam Chair in Multicultural Education
The David Lam Chair in Multicultural Education, established in 1991, supports increased interest, programming and research in multicultural and anti-racist education, and assists schools to foster multiculturalism.
As part of our search for the David Lam Chair, the Faculty of Education is hosting public presentations on May 16 and May 17, 2023.
Dr. Anusha Kassan and Dr. Surita Jhangiani—both from the Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology, and Special Education—have been invited to deliver public presentations in which they will discuss their research and educational leadership interests and achievements in relation to this position, and their vision for the three-year term of the David Lam Chair in Multicultural Education. The formal presentations will be followed by an opportunity for questions.
We encourage the Faculty of Education community to attend the presentations and provide feedback to the advisory committee. Presentations will take place in Scarfe 310 and live-streamed over Zoom. Video recordings of both presentations will be made available, should you not be available to attend.
Your feedback is valuable to the committee’s deliberations and recommendation. A link to provide feedback will be circulated following the presentations. Please provide your feedback to the advisory committee by Wednesday, May 31, 2023.
