UBC Faculty of Education JOHSC (Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee) and UBC Safety & Risk Services will be hosting an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) educational session and demonstration to all staff and faculty interested.
The AED is a portable device that delivers an electric shock through the chest to the heart in emergency situations, for example, a sudden cardiac arrest.
*Please note that this is not a formal certification training.
