Facilitator
Restorative Justice Practitioner Melissa Morin is a member of the Likhsilyu, Tse Kal K’iyikh of the Witsuwit’en Nation in Witset, BC, and is an Indigenous Education Supervisor in the School District 57 Indigenous Education. Melissa started her career in social work and criminal justice, which has led her into the field of restorative practices.
About the session
Restitution and Restorative Practice, also known as RRP, is viewed as another way of thinking and being and draws upon Indigenous ways of knowing. RRP provides a framework of feeling connected to your community and looks at ways to enhance healthy conflict-resolution conversations while strengthening relationships with colleagues.
