New Annual Award: MET Award for Indigenous Students
UBC Faculty of Education is delighted to offer the new annual MET Award for Indigenous Students. This annual award will cover program tuition for either the 30-credit master’s degree or 15-credit graduate certificate for an Indigenous student. Dr. Lianne Tomfohr-Madsen is appointed Canada Research Chair in Mental Health and Intersectionality
Dr. Lianne Tomfohr-Madsen is appointed Canada Research Chair in Mental Health and Intersectionality. Her research harnesses methodology from clinical and counselling psychology, health psychology and public health to understand intersectional risk and resilience factors that contribute to the development of psychological distress in parents and children.
UBC Faculty of Education’s online training course receives federal funding
On July 4, 2023, Parliamentary Secretary, Ya’ara Saks announced that UBC Faculty of Education is one of two recipients for project funding through the program. UBC Education is receiving funding for the project titled Professional Development for Early Learning and ELCC Workers Through an Indigenous-Early Childhood Education Massive Open Online Course.
